Ok, here is the 2015 Inspired Fuel Book List. The most powerful new book I read in 2015 was The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer.
Other books, which I’ve read in the past, and I highly recommend are Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse, and The Tao Te Ching, by Lao Tzu, translated by Stephen Mitchell. Those 3 books will give you a new perspective on the way you think about, and approach life.
Here’s the list, enjoy!!
My favorite and most impactful read of the year. I say no more. Get The Surrender Experiment and read it.
Siddhartha is my favorite book of all time. I read this one 4 times last year. This is a must. This is essential, vital.
The Tao Te Ching is one of only 2 physical books I brought with me to travel on the road for a year (the other was Siddhartha).
Beautiful audio on mythology, religion, the path of the hero, and following your bliss from a present day sage, Joseph Campbell.
More on myth from Joseph Campbell.
The learning process broken down; mentally, physically, metaphysically, by Josh Waitzkin, a chess prodigy, and marshall arts master. The child chess prodigy in the movie In Search For Bobby Fischer, is based on Josh Waitzkin.
Michael Singer’s first book. This one is very good as well. Similar to Eckhart Tolle’s teachings. Getting away from your mind, and focusing more on awareness.
Ram Dass, formerly Dr. Richard Alpert of Harvard; left his prestigious psychology profession at Harvard and traveled the World, became a yogi, and shared his insights on spirituality and inner peace.
In my top 10, this is a multiple read for me each year. Inner peace, presence, awareness.
This is Eckhart’s first book, and is also in my top 10, and a multiple read each year.
Excellent advice, not only on writing, but also on life. How to deal with fear, rejection, and criticism for the creative mind.
True story of 2 tough guy scuba divers hunting for the infamous Joseph Bannister pirate ship wreck in Dominican Republic. Both divers have incredible stories prior to the ship wreck hunt. One is a cancer survivor, the other had ties to the New York mafia.
Enjoyable, short read on the creative process.
Very intelligent, and funny essays about a political cartoonist’s life and work experiences.
Short stories of a homeless drug addict’s day to day life.
Mogley, Baloo, Bagheera. Enough said.
This book has saved me thousands of dollars through the knowledge I learned about traveling for less.
This is the 4th book in “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” series. A suspense mystery, very well written.
A POWERFUL book. An extraordinary professor, and ex-nurse, teaches college students about death. Entailed are the stories of young adults who share their tragic stories, along with their road to redepmtion, perseverance, and courage. This one made me cry multiple times.
Ralph Waldo Emerson. His essay that tells it like it is.
Boom! Enjoy, and be inspired!!
